Gregg Nunziata to Speak in AALS Webinar Series on the Independence of the Legal Profession

March 27, 2026

Society for the Rule of Law Executive Director Gregg Nunziata will participate as a featured speaker in the Association of American Law Schools’ (AALS) six-part webinar series on the independence of the legal profession. Hosted in partnership with leading institutions including Princeton University’s Program in Law & Public Policy, the series brings together top legal scholars, practitioners, and judges to examine the growing challenges facing the rule of law.

On Tuesday, March 31 at 6:00 p.m. ET, Gregg will join a distinguished panel for a session on the Principles for the Independence of the Legal Profession—a bipartisan effort supported by more than 70 retired judges nationwide. The discussion will focus on non-litigation strategies to respond to increasing pressure on the legal profession and to safeguard constitutional norms.

Gregg will be joined by the Hon. Shira A. Scheindlin (Former U.S. District Judge, SDNY) and Neel Chatterjee (King & Spalding), with the session moderated by Deborah Pearlstein of Princeton University.
