SRL Executive Director Gregg Nunziata was featured in Bloomberg Law on the American Bar Association’s escalating conflict with the Trump administration.

Legal conservatives ratcheted up their criticism of the ABA in the past over its left-of-center stances on issues ranging from abortion rights to DEI and affirmative action.

The ABA overreached on those and related topics, said Gregg Nunziata, who leads the Society of Rule of Law, which was launched during Trump’s previous administration by a group of conservative lawyers.

“This has, unfortunately, depleted its ranks and significantly weakened its credibility at a time when the independent judiciary and the core values of the legal profession are under sustained attack,” said Nunziata, who previously worked as a lawyer for Marco Rubio and adviser to Senate Republicans.
