VIRTUAL EVENT: Threats Against Free Speech
A webinar on free speech in America under the Trump administration’s first 100 days.
The First Amendment protects the freedoms of speech from government restriction and has been interpreted broadly by the courts for decades. However, during Trump’s second term, there are already numerous lawsuits underway alleging that the administration has infringed upon this bedrock constitutional guarantee.
We will host an expert webinar on Tuesday, May 6 at 12 noon ET to discuss these actions, and the administration’s track record on free speech rights to date:
To discuss this important topic, our webinar will feature Prof. Eugene Volokh of the Hoover Institution, Bob Corn-Revere of the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression, Prof. Keith Whittington of Yale Law School, and Gregg Nunziata, the Society’s executive director.
This event will be on the record and open to press; for media inquiries, please contact Communications Director Tony Franquiz at [email protected].
