“American Covenant” — A Book Talk w/ Yuval Levin
The Society held a book talk with Yuval Levin on his “American Covenant: How the Constitution Unified Our Nation — And Could Again” on July 25.
In a time of political polarization and gridlock, some have wondered whether the Constitution remains a workable framework for governance. In “American Covenant,” Levin provides both a deeply engaging history lesson and a practical path forward for a weary people and a stressed political system. The talk was hosted by Gregg Nunziata, Executive Director of the Society.
Widely regarded as the most important conservative intellectual of his generation, Yuval Levin is the director of Social, Cultural, and Constitutional Studies at the American Enterprise Institute, where he also holds the Beth and Ravenel Curry Chair in Public Policy. He was a member of the White House domestic policy staff under President George W. Bush.
